Anthropologists

“At times I feel like the real distinction here is between thoughtful people who are aware of the complexities of knowledge production, and those who are for psychological reasons strongly committed to identifying themselves as scientists and everyone else as blasphemers.”

1. Am I correct to assume AAA leadership only considers AAA members' input when updating the AAA mission?
2. If so, is your wiki open to only contributions by AAA members?
3. If not, is it important to distinguish in your wiki between input provided by AAA members vs nonmembers?
4. If this is a distinction worth making explicit (and I think it is), you may consider making a separate part of the the wiki for non AAA member contributions. This section of the wiki can ask questions such as
a. what do you think anthropology is
b. what do you think anthropology should be
c. what do you think is anthropology's most significant contribution to people's collective understanding of human life
d. what do you think should be anthropology's most significant contribution to people's collective understanding of human life
etc.
